Moving from JobNimbus
Your contact list is what you need on day one. JobNimbus exports it as a contact report; Groundflag reads its columns as they come.
Build a contact report in JobNimbus.
Open Reports and create a custom report for Contacts. Add every column you want to bring: Display Name, Email, Mobile Phone, Address Line 1, City, State, Zip and Description. Only what is in the report is exported.
Export it to CSV.
Save the report, then click the three dots next to its title and pick Export to CSV. Your JobNimbus access profile needs the Export permission.
Open Settings, Import data.
In Groundflag, the owner or an admin picks JobNimbus as the source and Clients as what the file holds.
Check the column map.
Jnid, Display Name, Mobile Phone, Email, Address Line 1, City, State, Zip and Description are matched for you. Home and work phones, company, status and source are left out; map one of them yourself if that is the one you use.
Look at the preview, then import.
Every row shows as ready, skipped or rejected, with the reason, before anything is saved.
What Groundflag does with a JobNimbus file
Add the Jnid column to the report: it keeps each contact apart, so two contacts with the same name both come in, and running the same file again does not duplicate anyone. Description comes in as the client's notes.
What stays in JobNimbus
Jobs, estimates, invoices, boards and attachments are not imported. Start open work fresh from the estimate it was sold on, and download the attachments you may need later before you cancel JobNimbus.
Questions
Is importing extra?
No. Import data is part of every plan.
Some contacts came in without a phone.
The report only exports the columns you added. Add Mobile Phone to the report, export again and import the file again; contacts already in are left as they are.
