Moving from Contractor Foreman
Most of what you need on day one is your list of clients and contacts. Export it from Contractor Foreman as a spreadsheet and bring it in with Import data. The same works from Buildertrend, JobTread or CoConstruct.
Export from the old tool.
In Contractor Foreman, export your customer and contact list as a CSV or Excel file. Excel files: save as CSV before importing.
Open Import data.
In Groundflag, Settings, Import data (the owner or an admin can do it).
Upload and match the columns.
Choose the file and tell Groundflag which column is the name, the email, the phone and the address.
Check the preview, then import.
Look over the rows before they go in. The report shows what came in and what was skipped.
Jobs, vendors and the rest
Open jobs are usually quicker to start fresh: add the job, its schedule and the estimate it was sold on. If you have many open jobs, or vendor and sub lists to bring, write to hello@groundflag.com with your export files and we will help you map them.
Before you cancel the old tool
Download what you may need later: signed contracts, invoices, daily logs and photos. Contractor Foreman's plans are billed yearly or quarterly, so check when your term ends.
