Turn a receipt photo into a vendor bill
A receipt in the truck's cup holder is a cost the job never sees. Take a photo with Capture and the bill is filled in for you; nothing is saved until you tap Save.
Tap Capture, then Photo.
Take the picture of the receipt or choose it from your photos. Groundflag reads it and sorts it as a receipt.
Check the job.
Groundflag suggests the job; pick another under Job if it is wrong.
Tap Open to review.
New Vendor Bill opens with the vendor, the Bill Date from the receipt, one line with the receipt total and the job.
Check the vendor.
When the store matches a supplier on your list (The Home Depot Store #2602 is your Home Depot), it is picked for you. When it does not, the form says Read on the receipt and the name: pick that supplier or create it.
Save.
Split the line into items or add the tax if you want, then save. The bill keeps the receipt photo under Receipt.
Where the cost goes
The saved bill counts as actual cost on the job, next to purchase orders, expenses and clock hours (see Job costing). Bills are listed under Money, Bills.
What it does not do
It does not save, pay or send anything on its own, and it does not create a supplier for you. The total comes in as one line; the items on the receipt are not split out yet.
Questions
Does it cost extra?
No. Reading the photo uses the plan's monthly AI allowance, like the other AI features.
Can I do it from my phone?
Yes. Open app.groundflag.com on the phone; Photo lets you take the picture or choose one you already have.
